The URB-E fold-up electric scooter is pitched by its creators as “The Ultimate ‘Last Mile’ Vehicle” because it fills that gap for commuters before and after mass transit. URB-E’s collapsible frame and portability (27 lbs) make it a great solution for toting on a crowded train or bus and it’s currently on funding site Indiegogo in an effort to raise $150,000.
The URB-E would definitely make users look forward to their commute and it’s being touted as a ‘green’ solution.
“This is not only a more convenient and cost effective way to travel, but it is also a much greener approach to commuting.”
The URB-E fold-up electric scooter is a lot of things: portable, fun, electric, rechargeable and green but it’s not Jubbling. Why isn’t it Jubbling? Based on the videos and website info, it sounds like the URB-E was designed as an alternative to walking; it’s a portable Segway. Why do we need to replace walking with another appliance? [TC]
